Having been in healthcare myself for 35 years, it takes a lot to impress me. But Laminil has done exactly that, impressed me. To see a dead lame animal begin walking comfortably is nothing less than a miracle. I am one to think outside the box. I have tried many fairly new therapies, they all failed. Laminil is the only successful treatment I’ve seen thus far for laminitis.
Hunter-jumper horse developed laminitis after corticosteroid joint injections intended to improve movement. The show horse was healthy but a little stiff in stifles. Laminitis developed overnight, and horse was reluctant to move and in distress. The trainer asked veterinarian to prescribe Laminil, which was delivered the next day.
Oct 17: Treatment
Horse displayed acute laminitis in all feet.
“Laminil arrived. Thank you.”
The veterinarian performed perfusions on all four feet and began IM injections and daily cream.
Oct 19: Much improved
“She is much improved today per my assistant at home. I‘m driving home from a show, and I will be there later tonight to get a better assessment.”
Oct 25: Doing fantastic (two videos)
Vet and farrier were out yesterday to re-radiograph, and she has zero rotation and is completely sound. We’re still doing IM injection and the cream, but the owner was in tears she was so thrilled.
“Absolutely can’t thank you enough. It truly is an incredible product!”
Laminil Cream is an amazing anti-inflammatory. I used it on my own horse who broke her hock in a fence accident. After surgery to put a pin in the broken bone, her hock was very swollen. On the second day, the swelling was worse. I applied Laminil cream, rubbed it in, and rewrapped the hock. The next day, the swelling was all but gone. I’ve never seen swelling at that level come down so fast. I can’t say for certain that Laminil did it, but I believe it did. I’m also putting Laminil on her feet to prevent weight-bearing laminitis, and it appears to working there too.
We used the Laminil in the mare I had asked about previously. The mare is a 13 year old warmblood. Six years ago, she was in a freak pasture accident and reacted to the medications administered causing her to founder quite badly. (If you saw the x-rays you would be shocked to know she is still alive.) She is pasture sound and has been doing quite well the past few years, however this spring/summer was so wet and she kept blowing abscesses and was quite tender. Our hope was to try Laminil and see if she had any improvement. I am happy to say she is MUCH more comfortable AND she delivered a healthy Filly last weekend.
I was searching for anything I could for my mare and her mild laminitis. I came across this Laminil Cream product website, and I thought I would try it. … When it arrived, I applied it to my mare’s coronary band that night on both front hooves. I honestly was totally amazed at her gait the very next day! I have been applying it twice daily for 9 days now and I am so amazed at her progress. I apologize that I do not have a video of when she first went lame from the laminitis; however, the x-rays are the proof. Here is her progress since starting Laminil Cream.
My understanding is that this cream is also very helpful to horses’ hooves for our colder weather here in Wisconsin as hoof growth slows down this time of year. My mare’s hooves have always been slow growing, and this product has encouraged faster
hoof growth which I believe is the reason for her faster healing progress.

The videos show the mare’s progress after starting Laminil Cream.
In addition to recently adding the use of topical Laminil to my treatment plan for several equine foot cases, I have also used it topically over several weeks on a serious ligament injury to one of my own horses. Clinically I am seeing as much inflammation reduction in both edema and heat in the injured area as I would expect from using a typical topically applied NSAID.
I was loaned a 30 yr old Exmoor pony named Smartie last year to keep as a companion to my 2 eventers. The pony had a history of episodes of low grade laminitis so we were very careful with her diet. In spite of restricted grazing, Smartie came in from the field one day last year looking quite stiff and uncomfortable on her feet. Realizing that there had probably been a spike in the grass sugar content, I took the normal precautions such as taking her off grass and reducing her feed. I also gave her bute for several days to reduce the inflammation. She did not measurably improve so I decided to try applying Laminil Cream to her hooves. I rubbed a small amount into all four coronet bands for two days and saw an immediate improvement in Smartie’s movement. After two more days, she was completely sound! My farrier checked her hooves shortly afterward and said she had suffered no ill effects from the laminitic episode. This spring Smartie again had a mild episode which I was able to nip in the bud by immediately applying the Laminil cream for 3-4 days, and she again suffered no ill effects.
The results produced by using Laminil Cream are fantastic, and I highly recommend its use for any sort of inflammatory hoof condition.
A client owns a thoroughbred that had thin-walled, thin-soled feet that I never nipped—just lightly rasped. He started using Laminil cream the day after I shoed the horse. Five weeks later, the horse’s feet had grown three times as much as usual. Five weeks after that, the horse’s hoof transformed itself with more heel and better palmar angles, thicker walls and thicker soles, a healthy hoof. This cream works like nothing I’ve seen.
“We found the temperature to decrease almost instantly in the foot. There was a clear reduction in the the pulse and heat and the horse appears much more sound on the RF foot after 2 days. There was a little reaction in the LF at the site of regional limb perfusion which we started the horse on antibiotics for just in case of a mild cellulitis. The regional limb perfusion was done perfectly and the horse is very very good, so no issue with leakage etc.”
I had a bad experience with a farrier that trimmed my horse’s front feet too short and made him very sore, and I could not ride him for two months. For several months he still was not growing much hoof, and the nail holes were too close together and weakening the hoof. Also, the new farrier did not even trim any hoof, only lightly rasped the hoof.
When I heard that the Laminil cream could help with hoof growth, I started applying it on the coronary band daily and saw much better hoof growth by the second shoeing. My farrier’s comment at the second shoeing was that my horse’s feet had more growth than he expected and this time he actually had to use the nippers for the first time to trim off some hoof.
I am convinced that my horse developed sub-acute, chronic inflammation in his front feet from when he was trimmed too short, and the inflammation slowed down his hoof growth. Once the Laminil was applied, the inflammation went away and this enabled him to nicely grow hoof again! My horse is moving better and more comfortably than he did before I used the Laminil cream! I would highly recommend using the Laminil cream for horses that do not grow enough hoof fast enough.

I’m a skeptic when it comes to new drugs for horses, but this Laminil drug is a life-saver. It saved this pregnant mare that I thought we were going to have to put down. She was Obel 3 plus and going downhill. The owner had found out about this new drug on the Internet and wanted to try it. I was reluctant, but we had run out of options. We did the perfusion, and the results were amazing. The mare improved from Obel 3 to Obel 1.5 in 72 hours, and she fully recovered in a week. This Laminil drug really works. I’ve used it two times. If anyone wants to ask about it, they can call me.
