Event rider on Laminil Cream stopping laminitis in pony

September 2, 2018

I was loaned a 30 yr old Exmoor pony named Smartie last year to keep as a companion to my 2 eventers. The pony had a history of episodes of low grade laminitis so we were very careful with her diet. In spite of restricted grazing, Smartie came in from the field one day last year looking quite stiff and uncomfortable on her feet. Realizing that there had probably been a spike in the grass sugar content, I took the normal precautions such as taking her off grass and reducing her feed. I also gave her bute for several days to reduce the inflammation. She did not measurably improve so I decided to try applying Laminil Cream to her hooves. I rubbed a small amount into all four coronet bands for two days and saw an immediate improvement in Smartie’s movement. After two more days, she was completely sound! My farrier checked her hooves shortly afterward and said she had suffered no ill effects from the laminitic episode. This spring Smartie again had a mild episode which I was able to nip in the bud by immediately applying the Laminil cream for 3-4 days, and she again suffered no ill effects.

The results produced by using Laminil Cream are fantastic, and I highly recommend its use for any sort of inflammatory hoof condition.
